<\/a><\/p>\nI am the owner of Paper Planes, a company specialising in certification of Australian light general aviation aircraft.<\/p>\n
Currently based in the south-west of Germany, while maintaining offices in Sydney, Australia, Paper Planes specialises in point-of-origin certification of private and corporate aircraft worldwide, with past jobs everywhere from the desert to the jungle to the Arctic.<\/p>\n
The aim of Paper Planes is to provide a one-stop-shop for aircraft acquisition and sales certification. By combining Australian import certification with the aircraft’s production or export certification, we remove the need for the aircraft to undergo an additional full inspection following delivery. This saves time, money, and hassle at a point when the new owner simply wants their aircraft delivered and flying.<\/p>\n
We work closely with aircraft factories and turn-key aircraft brokers to provide a seamless acquisition process. With point-of-origin certification, the owner can elect to do factory training in their own aircraft on their Australian licence, or tour the region as a holiday before heading home. For aircraft that don’t require ferry tanking, the owner and their family and friends can go on the delivery flight, providing a once in a lifetime adventure. On arrival, the aircraft goes straight into service after adjusting the compass and updating the databases, rather than waiting weeks for inspection and certification.<\/p>\n
In addition, Paper Planes does inspection and consulting work worldwide. Being the only Australian certification company based outside Australia, we are in a unique position to represent potential owners at distant locations. For example, if a client sees an aircraft they’re interested in in Europe or North America, it is significantly cheaper and easier for us to go and look at it and report back than it is to send a team all the way around the world.
